Wes Welker has been fined ,000 by the NFL for an unsportsmanlike celebration following a touchdown during a 47-7 drubbing of the hapless Arizona Cardinals.

The fine was levied under the rule prohibiting “unsportsmanlike conduct for participation in an illegal demonstration by going to the ground” after Welker made snow angel gestures on the ground.

The New England wider receiver was unsure if an appeal would be launched, saying that “it was a spur of the moment deal, and you can be sure that it won’t happen again”.
