The Dallas Morning News has reported that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo took a homeless man known as Doc to see the movie “Role Model”. Doc had been handing out pamphlets for money when he was approached by Romo.
Doc initially turned down the offer to catch a flick, when he recognised his benefactor. He then ran across the street and asked for the day off, before entering the theatre with Romo and sitting next to him to watch the film.
Doc was at first awkward, as it had been days since his last shower. Romo was nonchalant, saying: “Don’t worry about that. I’m used to locker rooms.” Romo confirmed he had met Doc, but refused to elaborate or cash in on his obvious kindness.![]()
