Troubled cornerback “Pacman” Jones has completed alcohol counselling that he was mandated to undertake by the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys have said they’re not sure when he will be able to take the field again.

Jones’s attorney said: “I have been in contact with the commissioner’s office since last week, and they are reviewing Adam’s unique situation. There is no timetable for a decision. He is glad to be back in Dallas.”

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said: “As far as I’m concerned right now, he’s gone. We’re preparing the players I have. … If it turns out that he does come back and he is ready, I’ll prepare that.”
