A golfer in Atlanta, GA., searching for his missing ball, came apon a half buried hand grenade. Bomb Squad investigators detonated the older style pineapple grenade which was unearthed by recent rains.

It is felt the grenade was left over from the course’s former owners, the US Army. Now Atlanta Municipal Golf Course, the land was part of Camp Hancock, back during WWI.
