Experienced international coach Guus Hiddink has taken over the management position at Chelsea, on the request of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. Hiddink is the interim manager at the club until the end of the season.

In his first statement as team manager, Hiddink refused to ive up on the club’s chances in the three championships they are currently playing in. His first game will be this Saturday, when Chelsea meets Watford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Hiddink said: “I am not just here to add to my experience with the club and Premier League, but also I want to see these results as soon as possible. The players are very committed…” Hiddink is the Russia’s coach, and a good friend of Abramovich.
