Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has spoken out against a report featured last month which stated that the team was getting ready to release controversial receiver Terrell “T.O.” Owens.

Jones said: “That Stephen and I were debating about Terrell, that’s just misinformation. That’s just not accurate. I don’t know where that comes from. That’s just total misinformation.” He added that it was also pure speculation.

Jones has since placed a gag order on the whole team and officials, including coach Wade Phillips. He did say that he hasn’t decided whether or not to keep T.O. on the side, though by and large it is now expected he will.
