The President, CEO and general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs has announced he will be resigning at the end of the season. Carl Peterson is credited with the 1990s turn around of the Chiefs, which saw them become an NFL powerhouse.
Chairman of the board Clark Hunt said that coach Herm Edwards’s future would be decided at a later date. The Chiefs are having a woeful season, losing an 11-point lead over the weekend in the last 73 seconds of their game against San Diego.
The Chiefs are 2-12 for the season, and Peterson will be replaced in two weeks time by current vice president Denny Thum, who will act as interim president.![]()
