Former England captain David Beckham will be heading back to Los Angeles after his three-month contract with AC Milan is up on the 9th of March. The midfielder was hoping to permanently move to the Italian club despite having a 5-year contract in LA.

He will begin his third season with the LA Galaxy when talks between the American club and AC Milan fell through. Milan initially offered US.4 million to buy Beckham, but Galaxy rejected the deal and gave them a deadline for a new offer on Friday.

Milan failed to meet the deadline and talks were cancelled. Beckham’s deal at Galaxy is reportedly worth US0 million.
