Andy Murray Beats Nadal for Third Time in a Row

Scotland’s Andy Murray has beaten out world number one Rafael Nadal 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 to win the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. It is the third consecutive win for Murray over Australian Open champ Nadal. Nadal had suffered a knee injury.

Murray said of his opponent: “Sorry to Rafa, I know he hurt his leg. It shows how good a player he is – he was still managing to beat me on one leg.” Murray himself entered the tournament ith a lingering ankle injury.

Nadal refused to blame his injury for his defeat, saying: “I had a problem with the injury but I don’t want to talk about that. Andy played very well today and he deserved to win the tournament.” It was Murray’s 10th career title.
